Hey guys! I’m here to do a review for the movie “The Contender!” I didn’t really care for this movie because it was too political. The music is upbeat and sets the tone and mood for the movie. I love the rock music in the film. The location is cool for the film. I don’t like the amount of swearing in the film. There’s lots of drama to catch the viewer’s attention and keep them engaged.
The movie is about a senator, Laine Hanson, that is a contender to be a U.S. vice president, but information and disinformation about her past comes to the surface that is a threat to derail her confirmation.
With the cast of Joan Allen, Gary Oldman, Jeff Bridges, Christian Slater, Sam Elliot, William Petersen, Saul Rubinek, Philip Baker Hall, Mike Binder, Robin Thomas, Mariel Hemingway, Kathryn Morris, Kristen Shaw, Larry King and Dawn A. Westbrook. I think the cast did an amazing job at playing their characters because they put so much drama, emotion and heart into the film.
That’s a wrap on this review! You can watch “The Contender” on Plex, Pluto TV, Tubi and Fawesome! Catch you guys tomorrow when I do a review for the movie “Son of a Gun!”
